Nadia plush

I just finished making my first Black character: Nadia from the anime series Nadia:The Secret of Blue Water! She apparently was the first Black anime character to have a lead role and I'm pleased to say that I own this series + have been watching it. It's based on an idea from Hayao Miyazaki, who wanted to do an anime based on 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne. 

This former circus acrobat & lion tamer was made mostly of felt (camel, red, white, dark brown and royal blue), but also cut up gold ribbon, polyester fiberfill, black cord, a blue bead (for her Blue Water pendant) and fabric glue! The face is an iron-on design beautifully drawn by my friend and fellow dA member caroline-draws-stuff !

Nadia is the property and creation of Gainax. We didn't create this character, just this plush!
